Addressing the challenges
of food poverty locally

From emergency food
to lasting solutions

Our food initiative and advice service are a lifeline for people in crisis, providing a holistic approach to support those in challenging situations.

We offer emergency food packages and personalised advice on benefits, fuel issues, housing issues and much more.

By addressing the root causes of food insecurity and providing tailored support, we help individuals and families get back on their feet and build a more sustainable future.

We accept referrals from professionals working with individuals and families, or you can self referral, contact us for more information or complete the “contact us” form on this site.

We currently receive referrals from the Health Visiting Team, East Lothian Social Work Department, Doctor’s practices, Citizens Advice Bureaus and many more professional agencies.

You can drop off donations of non-perishable items at any of our donation stations:

Haddington – The Food Warehouse, Home Bargains, Aldi, The Co-op, Short Cuts Hairdressing, St. Mary’s RC Church, The Original Factory Outlet Shop, and Kevin Watt Butchers

Gifford – Lewis & Clarke

You can make a financial donation by bank transfer. Please contact the Larder for details of how to do this or hit the “DONATE NOW” Button
